Getting There ...

From Beirut take the southern highway leading to Tyre.  Drive past Tyre 9 km.  you will see neighbouring village  Hanawai  where King Hiram's tomb is while you are on the main road leading you to the Galilee in Qana, and then get on the first major road eastbound. Qana is 13km from Tyre.

Here i'm standing from inside the cave, i just turned my back to get a glimpse of the entrance

This is the entrance of the Grotto where Prophet Jesus (Peace be upon him) and the disciples took refuge from the heat of the sun. The cave itself and surrounding tourist area is very well kept up and worth a visit. The vistas are beautiful and there is a tangible sense of spirituality in the air.
